The villa stay
Your dog sleeps indoors, lounges on real furniture and keeps a normal routine. Crates only if that's what they're used to.
A fully fenced yard with turf for zoomies, shady trees for naps and a shallow ledge for dogs who'd rather wade than swim.
Photos and short videos every day, so you can actually relax on your vacation instead of wondering.
Your dog never shares the house with strangers' dogs. Just Archer, and real attention instead of a shift schedule.
Vaccines checked, a meet-and-greet before every first stay, a written emergency plan, and guests are never in the yard without one of us.
We're just around the corner from Eisenhower Park, with shady paths around the lake and new smells on every loop.
The splash ledge
Our pool has a wide, shallow ledge where dogs can stand, wade and cool off without ever having to swim. Confident swimmers get the deep end, with a life vest and a person right there.
Care at your home
Veterinarians often point out that pets cared for in their own home deal with less separation stress, and fewer of the stress tummy troubles that can follow a kennel stay. For the right dog, home care is the kindest option.
Their bed, their smells, their windows to bark at. No new place to get used to, so they settle faster and eat normally.
Older dogs, dogs on meds and dogs recovering from surgery skip the car rides and stay on their exact routine.
Great for dogs who are nervous or reactive around other dogs, with no exposure to germs passed between boarded dogs.
Cats, birds and fish get looked after too, and multi-dog homes don't need to split up.
We bring in the mail and packages, rotate lights and water plants, so the house never looks empty.
A daily set of eyes means a limp, a skipped meal or an upset stomach gets caught and handled fast.
| If your dog... | We'd suggest |
|---|---|
| Loves people, other dogs and water | A villa stay. Pool time, Archer and park walks make it a real vacation. |
| Is a senior or takes daily meds | Overnight house sitting, or a villa stay if they're mellow and mobile. |
| Gets anxious in new places | Overnight house sitting, so nothing changes but who's there. |
| Is reactive with other dogs | Care at home, so they won't have to share space with Archer. |
| Lives with cats or other pets | Care at home, so everyone stays together. |
| Just needs a midday break | Drop-in visits on the days you need them. |
About me
Hi, I'm Brandon. Villa Bark isn't my job, and honestly it isn't really a business. By day I run a company right here in Orange. This is the thing I do because I love it.
Animals have always been the best part of my home. Archer follows me everywhere, and I'm even building a reef tank that's slowly taking over a room. I know how hard it is to leave a pet behind, and how much it matters to trust whoever's looking after them.
So I set up Villa Bark the way I'd want it if I were the one heading out of town. One family at a time. Someone actually home. Real photos and updates instead of a quick "all good" text. A yard and a pool your dog won't want to leave.
I keep it small on purpose. I'd rather take amazing care of a few dogs than okay care of a lot of them. While your dog is with us, they're part of the family.
Meet your host pup
Archer is our Vizsla, and he takes his job as official greeter very seriously. He's gentle, social and happiest with a buddy to splash around with. Every villa guest meets Archer at the meet-and-greet, so we know the two of them get along before your stay.

Where we are
We're in the city of Orange, a short walk from Eisenhower Park and right off the 55 freeway, next door to Villa Park. Questions
Social, active dogs usually love a villa stay with the pool and Archer. Seniors, anxious dogs, dogs who don't love other dogs and homes with several pets usually do best at home. Not sure? We'll help you decide at the meet-and-greet.
Friendly, calm-to-moderate energy dogs of any size who are house trained and comfortable around new people and other dogs. We meet every new dog first to make sure the villa is a good match.
For villa stays, yes. Archer is friendly and easygoing, and joins every meet-and-greet so we can make sure the two get along. If your dog prefers alone time, we keep them separated whenever you'd like. Home care is a great option for dogs who'd rather not share.
We feed, refresh water, take them out for a potty break and a short walk or play session, give any meds, tidy up accidents and send you a photo update. 60-minute visits include a longer walk.
We arrive in the evening, stay overnight and are there for breakfast and the morning walk. We bring in mail and packages, water plants and keep the house looking lived-in. For long workdays, add a midday visit.
We do a walkthrough at the meet-and-greet, note alarm codes and house rules in your guest packet, and keep keys labeled with a code, never your address. Lockboxes and smart locks work great too.
Pool time is opt-in. Swims are always supervised with a life vest available, dogs can stand comfortably on the shallow ledge, and guest dogs are only in the backyard when one of us is out there with them. Owners who choose swims sign a short waiver.
Your guest packet includes your vet, emergency contact and how much care you authorize if we can't reach you. In an emergency we head straight to the nearest 24-hour animal hospital and call you on the way.
Often, yes. Text us first to check availability, then book online. Requests starting within 24 hours add a $25 short-notice fee, and within 6 hours a $50 rush fee. First-time clients still need a quick meet-and-greet before the first visit.
Rabies, DHPP and bordetella, current and on file before the first villa stay. We also ask that dogs are on flea and tick prevention.
Venmo or cash. After we confirm, a 50% deposit by Venmo holds your dates. The balance is due at the end, by Venmo or cash.
Full refund of your deposit up to 7 days before the start date (30 days for holiday bookings). Inside that window, the deposit can move to a future booking.
